    9-3 2.0T MAXI Fuse #35

MAXI Fuse #35 (30 amp) under hood box keeps blowing.

What would be cause to keep blowing? Once blown, A/C will not blow cold. Local independent shop identified cause of loss of A/C due to MAXI Fuse #35 blown. Says it is to the electric fans which once blown does not allow a/c compressor to engage.

Replaced several times. Trend seems to be if car idles for very long it will blow. When idling fans seem to cut on and off very frequently.

    Thanks.

    Hi
Bad electrical contacts can draw more current, and it's been known that the fan motor connectors can suffer with this.
Also there is a junction/connector box mounted on the fan housing that should be checked too.
Maybe one or both fans could be suffering from dry bearings that would up the power requirements. I would be inclined to checking all the cable connections and giving the fan motor bearings a blast of spray lube.
Or even disconnecting one of the fans in turn to see if one of the fans is the culprit.
    Hope this helps.
    Dave.
