Auto Trunk Release Does Not Work On My 2000 Aero

The auto trunk lid release does not work in my 2000 9-5 aero do to the common frayed wires in the trunk itself. Now the problem is that the key doesn't manually turn the trunk lock ( am assuming it was replaced at some point). My question is, does anyone know where the emergency trunk release is inside the trunk it self? I have climbed through the back seat several times into the trunk with no luck finding it. I also saw no mention of one in the manual.

    Hi
on the left side of the lock you can put a screwdriver in and open the lock. It is quite easy, mine (2002) has no keyhole to open the trunk.

If you are going to repair the cables use "silicon cable" then it will not break again and use the how to on this forum that is really good.
