I installed an ingenious new cupholder!

Read about it here - https://www.saabplanet.com/3d-printe...-5-cup-holder/

Just remove the coin holder and in a minute the install is done.

Very cool, just make sure to not take corners to fast when you have something in there.

I created a new mount for the parking brake cable tension spring due to a rusting disc brake dust shield.

The location of the spring mount is on the back of the brake dust shield which was now pulling the dust shield away from the rotor as the dust shield has rusted. As a result proper tension is not kept on the brake cable and the parking brake does not always fully release.

These dust shields are now almost impossible to find. The parking brake though must be functional and reliable to operate the car. So a new mount for the spring was needed.

The new location is made from a 2 1/2 inch stainless clamp installed around the rear suspension knuckle. I drilled a small hole in the clamp to accept the spring. The pliers in the picture were used to pull and twist and hook the spring into its new position.

    Works great.

Yes the car keeps on going and going. Will need new summer tires and brake pads this year but other than that all is good.
