Independant vehicle heater for DIESEL engine
Have anybody experience with a independent vehicle heater, respective mounting? If yes, what kind of heater system they use?
Are there drivers with a SAAB 9-5 II and a Diesel engine (it´s a GM diesel engine) and an independent vehicle heater system? If yes, what kind of Diesel engine they have?
In Europe I know one driver, who has an independent vehicle heater system in his car, but not with a Diesel engine.
The "Diesel" seems to be the problem.

I don't know what you exactly mean by independent vehicle heater...are you referring to Webasto/Eberpärscher aux heater or electrical block&interior heater made by webasto for example?
If it's the latter one you may want to check: http://www.defa.com/de/fp/main/ or http://www.calix.se/de/startseite

Thanks for the answer. Yes, my Translation was not best to describe the system.
I am looking for an auxiliary heating system.
GM, or rather OPEL, use to offer "Eberspächer" Systems. The comparable model is INSIGNIA.(History SAAB: 96V4, 99 GL, 900 Cabrio, 9-5 I) Actually: 9-5 II TTiD

Dear Mr. Schwindessen,
I am driving a SAAB 9-5 NG Diesel. I desperately tried to find someone to install an auxiliary heating system in my car, but no-one has ever done it and dares to do it. (I tried Mcueklabuer, Lafrentz, Hirsch). Which Webasto system have you had installed, and where has it been done?
Best regards

Installation: FSH Frankfurt/M in 2016
Kosten: ca.2.300 Euro
