Noobie, 2002 Saab 95 2.0t , sounds rough on start up

I got myself a 95 about two or three days ago, on start up it sounds lick a diesel for about 30 sec.
The car has full service history, the pcv#6 up grade has been done, but i am not sure if the Sump has been dropped.my wifes 2001 Opel vectra has the 1.8 engine and it sounds the same, is this a GM trait.

After going trough my service book the car has been servised by maindealer untill 2011 every 6000 miles , last @71000 miles its now on 79000 miles and been service twice in that time , so i should not expect any sludging, but it plays on my mind .

Can you hear what part of the engine the sound is coming from? We never had the 2.0 engine in the US but it is pretty similar to the 2.0t.

Sludge can happen even with regular oil changes. Especially when mineral oil was used. Checking under the valve cover is an easy way to see what's going on in your engine.
