Diagnostic Trouble Code P2187
Greetings guys;
Has anyone had experience with the P2187 DTC. System too lean at idle bank 1. Is this an emission problem, oxygen sensor?
Any help would be of great help.
Thanks John

Hi
Not sure if this will help
http://www.obd-data.com/p2187.html
I would start with checking all the relevant air inlet pipes and hoses and vacuum pipes for holes/cracks etc.
The MAF sensor can be cleaned carefully using a cotton bud/cue tip with brake cleaner or similar on it.
I don't know what engine you have, and being a DIYer I don't want to give you any wrong information that might send you on a wild goose chase.
Hope it's of some help.
Dave

Hi Dave; As a result of your advise I found the problem a small chip in the oil fill cap as well as a faulty rubber seal O ring. engine light is off and all is good. Thanks again for your suggestion.
Cheers
