Aeronaut: I tried the CTSSA001.2 adapter. I don't have an amplifier as I have the premium 70 sound system with only four speakers (two in the dash and two in the rear doors).
FredEST: I think you need the 20-280 adapter from incartec to connect to your amplifier. You'll also need the 29-694 adapter and the 29-005 lead to get the steering controls to work. Check the incartec site for details.Last edited by sastad; 17 August 2016 at 19:28.

Hello, did you solve indicator light sound?
And second - I think this audio connection is incorrect because of our amp has balanced input. I am using Unbalanced to Balanced Dual Channel Converter with drv134pa but still have indicator light sound but with better quality.

Hi
I don't have any problems with the indicator light. I just installed a Pioneer player using iso cable interface and the ignition cable suggestion from aeronaut. I don't have an external amplifier as I have the simplest audio option from Saab.

Hey guys,
I've been looking into buying a new double DIN head unit for my Saab.
After several hours of research and reading many reviews later I've decided I want the Kenwood DDX9703S.
It seems like it's the best I can get, it's also the best rated Kenwood on Amazon.
Only negatives I could find about it is the annoying legal notice pop-up according to this page https://greatestspeakers.com/kenwood-ddx9703s-review/.
Does anyone have this head unit and is it really the best choice?
Thanks

No experience of that head unit but I can tell you that even Saab navigation systems have a legal notice screen that pops up occasionally. The Kenwood I had it displayed every time which is annoying, also the Traffic alert chime is identical to the Saab warning chime so it can be confusing.

I'd like to replace the stereo head unit in my 2006 9-5 wagon so very interested in this great post of yours. Did you ever get the steering wheel controls to work with the new Kenwood unit? I'm told by the auto stereo shop that this can be a problem.

Hi billw, I never did try to get the steering wheel controls to work with the Kenwood. But you should be able to I believe others have done it.
I am used to using the stereo touch screen now and would rather save the $100 or so!
