Bought a 9-3 last week sorta an 01 A story

Hello all,
Just a story here. I originally signed up here to shamelessly sell some wheels left over from my sons "totaled" 99 9-5 w/5 speed . He misses that car so. Fast forward since , He bought a brand new Jeep and then meet a girl who he got engaged to, told her of his missing his 99 Saab. Told her if She finds a Saab 5-speed he'll "trade her". They found a 01 9-3 5-speed last week with 87K ($1100) from Atlanta area it has 0 rust on it. Long story short, She is driving the Jeep now. We are in the midwest. My point is the Saab bug runs deep apparently the things we do for love. I am starting to think I need to jump on this bandwagon too. The 9-3 was a good buy I think they are a way undervalued car, they are just misunderstood IMHO.
PS turns out someone bought the old 9-5 and restored/rebuilt it and it's still on the road as of a month ago.

My daughter-in-law inherited our 99, and it got backed over by a stake truck. I banged out the hood so the latch would work and replaced the lights, but the A/C lines weres crushed, so when the weather got warm and she was 8 months pregnant, she sold the car. The guy that bought it was planning to replace the front clip - he had (I think) 6 Saabs already. I recently bought my wife a 9-5 Sport Combi from a guy that had owned 5 prior to the one I bought. I almost bought one with a manual sight unseen and had it shipped all the way from the west coast to Michigan, but my wife thought we should own at least one automatic vehicle. I'm glad I listened to her because I broke my clutch leg. These cars are addictive.
