ACDelco X66P Upper Engine Cleaner directions HELP!
Greeting fellow SAAB enthusiasts. I want to administer this GM approved treatment to my '04 9-3 2.0t. Does anyone have directions on how to do this? (with photos would be ideal) No concrete idea which hose to use and how to do it. Precise directions would be greatly appreciated. Cannot find this anywhere online.

Greetings.
I found this.
http://www.acdelcotechconnect.com/pd...sb_05D-105.pdf
All it seems to do is big up the product as a must have.
And then at the bottom it states :
"ACDelco/GM service bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-ityourselfer."
There seems to be no directions on how to use it. But they have no problems selling it to you.

Then I found this.

It's just brilliance, over 62 posts, 5 pages and 14 years.
I hope this answers your question. Or perhaps the answer or outcome, is in the question.
History tells us about gm approved treatments, administrators and Saab.
As for the precise direction of the hose and concrete.
Cheerio for now
Dave

Dave, your detailed response is much appreciated. Amazing, searched for 2 hours, and never found the first or third link. Now know this is too complicated/potentially catastrophic to administer myself. However, bought this instead:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o01_s02
they say to administer it via the brake vacuum hose. any idea where this hose is in my engine? Have some guesses, but definitely don't want to leave it to chance. any idea of the precise procedure? this is a better version of seafoam that is GM branded (ACDelco does the fluids for GM) FYI, I called ACDelco, and they told me they don't know how to administer it and to ask a service center.
Best,
Mike

Hi
Post number 33 has step by step instructions for the spray
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/...g-agent-3.html
I'm curious as to why you want to use a product like this. What is your car doing or not doing to warrant this procedure,
and what has been done service or parts wise to overcome any symptoms your experiencing.
I'm not saying you shouldn't use it, just use it for the right reasons.
Ttfn.
Dave.

hi Dave, this post I've seen before, and, while helpful, is not for a SAAB turboed engine; if directions in post 33 are followed, this stuff will enter the turbo/intercooler before making it into engine, knackering both. (correct?) My theory is to spray it into the throttle body by slipping a straw under the hose that goes around it's intake opening. You think this will be okay? Others say to administer it via the brake vacuum hose. Not certain where it is though. (If someone could post a photo of it in our engine, that would be super helpful.)
my engine is fine and has had regular services, though it is 12 years old, has 68,000 miles on it and never had it's valves/pistons/cylinder heads cleaned, so, wanted to administer this cleaning prior to my next oil change. It could not hurt, right?
