Saab 9-4x Aero downpipe Vs 2009 Saab 9-3 xwd V6 downpipe.
So the short of it is, new 9-4x Aero, #552 CEL 4 miles from dealer in Mass. Took it to the shop told front cat-n-pipe bad. Order pip for SRX turbo, same p/n and all. Much cheaper than SAAB. First changing out 02 sensors of course.
So I get the new cat-n-pipe from the cheap gm parts website of the week. I had been studying the Talliaferro designed in picture only so I have an idea of what the bends look like. Today the part arrived,
And as you can see by my carefully calibrated feet. When you look at it really good and look at this pic of your run of the mill XWD V6 9-3 they look basically identical.
Now if you know me, you know that I would rather have 3" of stainless running from my turbo than a stock exhaust. So I am thinking of having one of the Genuinesaab.com pieces sent to me to compare, and maybe modify slightly if needed.
Any ideas from the group?

Length of pipe maybe an issue. I think 9-4x has much more clearance for the exhaust so more piping but I could be wrong.

Small update to this, Burnside has one I can compare, but didn't know this when I could have brought my old stock one up.
