It just occurred to me that 5 years ago, it was mid-February 2011. Saab was on a roll. The Phoenix coupe was about to be shown in Geneva. New York would be soon after. The future looked bright. The public, however, did not know that money was really tight.
By April 2011, production suddenly stopped. It restarted for short periods. In 2013, NEVS built more than 100 Saabs for the Swedish market.
Saab restarting and being like it was is simply too big a dream. Goodbye, Saab. May your own Saab live long and drive well. Bummer.

If one has a 2005-2007 9-3, that might be the best in a while. They lack some of the modern gizmos that are prone to breakdown but are quite safe themselves. The biggest lapse, in my opinion, is Bluetooth, but easily solved with an earpiece, if you really must talk.
