    Passenger Fog Light Not Working

    Hello,

This past week I have been trying to fix my right fog light that hasn’t been working. I have spliced in a new section of wire where an area was frayed at, which I thought was the problem. However, now it has power but I have tested the plug and it is only getting around 5v when the left side which is working is getting around 12v. It is not from my repair because I have went back and retested before my connection to get the same voltage reading. I have also ran a wire straight from the battery to the fog light, so I know the light assembly itself is working because it lit up. I don’t know what I am missing. If anyone knows where I should look next, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Hello.
I've tried looking for a wiring/circuit diagram on tinternet but to no avail.
I've two workshop manuals, ones 1998 to 2002, and the other 2007 to 2011.
Hoping yours is the same as the 07-11.

Also the engine fuse box listing.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/rjli7fsv15...onts.docx?dl=0
It shows F16(30amp) for LH foglight and F26(30amp) for RH foglight.
F16 & F26 also power other lights so my thoughts are maybe the wiring under or within the fuse box might be harbouring a loose or corroded wire or connection.
I would be inclined to double check the earth points too.
    Hope this helps.
    Dave

Sorry, I replied last week but for some reason it did not go through. However, I gave up and just linked the right fog light to the left side. However, the weird thing that I found out and am also kinda wondering about is that after I cut the wire for the right fog light(position 10f) that is coming out of the fuse box, the plug for the light was still getting around 5v. I know I tested the correct wire according to the diagrams for my car, but o well for now everything is working.

Also, this link (http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=572482) is more of my information that lead to me splicing the wires together.
And also, from over in Saabcentral they have the workshop information system available for download. http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=551705

    Thank you,
    Matt
