Brembo Caliper Upgrade for 9-4X
Needed,
-Pair of 2013 or maybe other year Buick Regal GS Brembos $300-$600
-Pair of accompanying banjo bolts (I ordered pair of hoses) $40/pair
-Set of your favorite 2013 Regal GS w/Brembo brake pads $60/Pair
-3/4 inch BORA wheel spacers meant for Chevy Colorado $60/Pair
Not needed but nice to have,
-Pair of Centric Slotted Rotors (stock will be fine too) $166/Pair
-Set of Aero wheels, not sure yet of fitment of non Aero wheels
Remove Wheel and Caliper. Wheel 22mm Caliper 18mm. Leave hydraulic connection to caliper for now.
Remove Rotor T27 for set screw if you are replacing. Leave it keeping.
Install new rotor or don't.
Install new Brembo caliper, use existing caliper bolts.
Quickly remove banjo bolt from stock caliper with 11mm wrench or socket.
Make sure old copper crush washers are off both halves of hydraulic line.
Place new crush washers in appropriate sides of stock hydraulic line, using new Brembo threaded banjo bolt.
Find fitment orientation of stock line, and tighten new banjo bolt (mine was a 10mm).
Fit 3/4 spacer over face of Rotor, tighten supplied nits (19MM)
Open both bleed ports on caliper and begin process on other side. Check shortly after disassembly. Close ports if fluid coming out.
Continue on other side.Last edited by Tweek's Turbos; 25 May 2016 at 15:11.
