Radio removable.
Hi All,
I am trying to get the radio out of my 9-3 year 2000. I can get it out about 50mm and then it seems stuck. I have tried everything I can think of, am I missing something?

Hi.
I'm not too sure any of these links are of any use to you.
All say be careful not to break anything, but non explain what you risk breaking or how to avoid it.

Thanks Dave, but none of them help. I just need to get the stereo out. I think there might be a "check strap" on the rear to stop people nicking it. As mine is a soft top. But I will have another look when I am off.

But on another not it works some times!!
When it is not working if you slam the drivers door it starts to work.
Anyone got any help??

You do have an external amp and it's hidden inside the dash between the radio and the glove box

I sometimes had this issue with the head unit sliding out in my 9-5. The sides of the head unit were catching on the cage. Try to wiggle it a bit while you pull it out. Or remove the SID and/or ACC unit and try pushing out the head unit from behind while pulling at the same time.

it sometimes hard to pull out, but applying some force is needed ...wiggling in different directions may help... after you're done check the cage if it's too tight bend in the right shape.

I dont think I can pull it any harder, as I think the dash will come away from the body.
