    well, not easy so could you try to lift up the cage from above (SID emplacement ) and in the same time try take out the head unit ( maybe need of 2 hands more )

    Carmad,
    Were you ever able to completely remove the SAAB head unit from the dash? I'm experiencing the same problem with my 2002 9-3. Trying to install a CD Connect adapter and can't get access to the rear of the stereo head unit.

    I realize your post is from 3 years ago, but was wondering how your installation went. We got the head unit out using DINs, but are struggling with wiring on the same year/model.
