Replacement tires
I need to replace my p6's totally worn out in less than 30,000 2010 93 wagon. Looking for better performance and longer lasting all season tires
I gotten a couple of recommendations.
Yokohama avid envigor continental extreme contact..if available in my size and Cooper CS5 ultra touring..that I like on my wife's Lincoln mkz
Are any of these the way to go or should I look for something else?

I use Michelin Pilot AS my 9-3. The first set I had transferred over from my GTI when I traded it in. They lasted about 3 years and 45,000 miles. I love them. The news ones i just put on are AS 3 Z rated, hold like crazy and are good in the snow here in Massachusetts.

I've driven someone else's car with Continental ExtremeContact DWS and it's fine. I've driven Continental ExtremeContact DW in a 9-3. Those are good but they are not all-season tires. The DW is good for about 9 months a year but not winter.

Continental seems to make either good or decent tires and not crap. The Continental PureContact is generally for a smooth ride but those who like a sporty feel, like a fast turn on a highway ramp may find the tire not to their liking. I have not driven on these tires but it's based on their description and my own experience driving the Continental ExtremeContact DW and DWS.

My youngest son had a set of Continental Extreme DWS on his Maxima. He was very happy with them in most weather except for his trip from his home in Maryland to my home in Massachusetts for Christmas 2 years ago. Heavy wet snow is not it's forte but it is an AS tire so no suprise. I like how AS tires are defined on the track; jack of all driving, a master of none. That's ok with me, neither am I!

Odd that this got posted. I just started researching old threads for 9-5 recommendations. The old owner put something called Dorals on mine. They were practically new three years ago but really crap. I'm kind of glad it's time for something new. I used to use P4s on my old MR2. Those were sweet but they never lasted long.

Speaking of tyres, the car runs on 225/45/17 Kuhmo ecstra Le's at the moment and they're very noisy, I've no complaints about the grip but with the hard ride, long distances can prove quite wearing, any suggestions on suitable replacements, I'm leaning towards Michelin Pilot Sport 4's at the moment, although Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 2's get good reviews and are a fair bit cheaper!
