How to Replace Red Nipple Behind the Throttle Body
Hi. The red nipple behind the throttle body is not holding the tube anymore and it caused me the engine to stop.
I got 1 from the dealer this afternoon.
Is there a special way to removed and install a new one?
Thanks.

looks like something you just pull out. the O-ring is the only thing holding it in place and stopping leaks.
When you say it doesn't hold, does it pop out when you drive?

yes, it does pop out when I drive.
I had stopped at major road ways because of it. Good that I was able to move to the shoulder safely.
Today, I had replaced just the red nipple with a new one and I tried pulling the tube out and it does not come out anymore.
I will observe it in my next long drive it it does pop out again.
I hope not.
Thank you all.

Percy, did this work out for you, just replacing the red ring? My car at high speeds and rpms has cut out some on the highway, then I limp to the side, and it starts back up fine. This line also just easily comes right out, along with the oil trap hose with the similar nipple on top of the turbo intake pipe. I am also getting screaming/whistling during mid-range boost.

the tube did no come off after just replacing the red nipple.
