Vacumm line pops out of manifold

    Hi,
Where I have circled the line pops out from the manifold, just below the bulb (sorry cant remember bulbs name). When it does pop out the engine runs rough, I push it back in and all is good. But unfortunately it pops out every 2nd day or so.
How do I stop this, do I need a new line? The red base part on the manifold does not come out and a piece of tubing above it about 1cm stays in place. It disconnects at the base of the bulb. I have tried circular ties but unfortunately it hasn't worked.
    thanks Clayton

Looks like you have enough slack in the line cut off the last centimeter and slip it back on, a cable tie won't squeeze stretched hard rubber tight.
When a vacuum line gets old and hard, it's best to replace and look for other lines that are getting ready to cause problems down the road.

Hi Digger, thanks for your reply makes sense.
It is a 2000/2001 and I doubt any of the lines have been changed
    cheers Clayton

The hose is not rubber so do not cut it.

the red clip has a rubber O-Ring inside which is probably not gripping the plastic hose. Go get one of the same size from the local hardware store and replace it.
