One of the generic gauges at O'Riley's etc worked for me. Its like a m14x1.5 or soemthing threaded hole on the back of the block and I had to get an adapter from a hydraulics place.

Go to your parts store and get any "Anerobic Sealant" (Lactate 518 or equivalent) DO NOT USE any other RTV

Well after much delay...here is what was found.
I took the time, purchased a gauge, sensor and adapter. After installation and oil change, cranked the engine for about 30 secs.= 0 oil pressure.
Dropped the sump - photos show what I found - stunned is my response. Screen clogged, oil sump had thick gooey gunk - a mess.
Ever since I added the updated the PCV, it has leaked oil - and this after ~10,000 miles. The only thing that has been added to the oil is about 6oz. UV dye to try and track the leak.
Prior to installing the PCV I had read about the update causing leaks for some people.
Is there a good tutorial - instruction on how this PCV is supposed to work - seems backwards to me.
Thanks, TR

Waow never see a mud like that impressive !! you're lucky to not having an engine seizure right now, for me you have a bad valve in your PCV sys.
that's what I've found http://saabworld.net/showthread.php?t=732 hope it help a bit.

That was my thinking after studying the diagram again. You install a new part and expect it to be perfect - but perhaps not. I know the little PCV valve is good, it's easy to check - but will pull the hoses and clean and test the checkvalves.
The bottom photo is when I started to clean and had sprayed with cleaner - it was just like mud.

On the topic on a clogged screen: The last owner of my Saab 9-5 used ethanol fuel and I myself switched to regular petrol. So does anybody know if swithcing back to petrol from ethanol makes the screen clogg up more easily?
