2.8ltr timing chain replacement
Hi,
2010 9-5 2.8ltr turbo 140KM has cam position sensor codes indicating a stretched timing chain. My car operates perfectly with the exception of diminished performance due to engine in forced limp home mode because of timing chain.
a. Is there a software update to increase the limits on chain wear?
b. Has anyone removed and replaced the timing chain with some instructions for a good home mehanic
c. Can you replace the chains without removing the engine
My dealer wants $3000. I love my 9-5 but not running like an opel kadet
