PVC tube?
Hi ,
I have 95 2001 aero and noticed the rubber tube coming out of the top of the engine is broken. I am not sure if my photo worked but the tube comes out top near the oil dipstick cap. When the motor is running you can feel pressure and hear it, the tubing runs down the back of the motor.
If so is this easy to replace? thanks Clayton

Thanks Swisssaabist much appreciated.
Do you think I should upgrade to the PCV # 6 kit? I have read some post where SAAB recalled the Upgrade kit?

the head mech at Saab garage said to me it's not really an update advice me not need to be changed just watch the sludge in the sump time to time and respect the oil change and specs. costs min62$ and need to lift the car for change.

If you aren't willing to update to the most recent PCV update, definitely make sure that your PCV system is functioning properly. As well as stay on top of your oil changes.
Also, if your car is a 9-5 aero, you have the wrong ignition cassette . You need a Black ignition Cassette. The red one will let your car run, but should really only be used as a spare.

No worries I will get the PVC update as mentioned I need to get it running properly. I have seen some good instructions on various forums so will do that.
I have had the car for 4 1/2 years and always changed the oil around 7,000km, with synthetic oil. I use to use a mechanic but he got too expensive now I do it myself.
Yes my car is an aero, I got that cassette from the wreckers as I thought they were the same for both cars. I 'll update that too.
thanks
