    Armrest Replacement

The next thing I want to to on my 2005 9-5 wagon is to replace the sliding driver's armrest.
I've actually put it off bc it's kind of a conversation piece - it works fine but is worn and frayed in the forward left corner - exactly where your elbow rests when you're actively shifting.

I can replace just the lid, right? A little conline research shows more complete assemblies for the 2002 models. I found a sliding rest for "1999-2005".

From memory, if you lift up the armrest there are some screws visible. If you undo these the sliding part will detach from the stowage compartment lid. You do not have to replace the whole lid, item 20, if all you want to do is replace the upholstered cover.

no it's tightened with plastic rivets maybe could be replaced by pop up rivets. but lot of work for nothing.
