Clutch replacement
Is a difficult task to replace the clutch yourself? Does anyone have the PDF with the steps or instructions from the Saab WIS? Thanks!

In a well equipped shop an experienced mechanic can do it in about half a day. With jack stands, hand tools, a couple of floor jacks and no experience in dropping an engine cradle, figure 2 to 3 days and you best have a second set of hands standing by.
The WIS will help you with torque specs and replacing a clutch is fairly simple, but you really should watch a lot of u-tube DIY clutch changes because you really, really, really, should know what needs to be done and what can go wrong before you start. Doing this on the floor looking up is no small job.

Thanks Digger. Do you have a copy of the WIS showing the steps & specs? Would you mind printing them out as a PDF and attach it to this thread? nordwulf has done it a few times and it has helped me a lot. However, it might not be checking this forum periodically anymore.

Here are the documents from the WIS. I'm not familiar with the different gearbox availability in the 2006 so included all 3 of them.
saab_9-3_clutch_assembly.pdf
saab_9-3_gearbox_assembly_5-speed_b207.pdf
saab_9-3_gearbox_assembly_5-speed_F17.pdf
saab_9-3_gearbox_assembly_6-speed_b207.pdf
I like to do car repair and do many things myself but this is a job I would never attempt myself. You'll need experience, car lift and a good assortment of specialized tools.

@nordwulf, Thanks Frank. Would you mind also posting the WIS on how to replace the Power Steering of the 2006 9-3T?

There are quite a few different sections for different parts of the power steering system. You should get a copy of the WIS as I can't post everything unfortunately.

I understand and thank you for all the previous PDFs from the WIS you sent. They have been very helpful. Where did you get your WIS copy so I can order it? Thanks again!
