Turbo model?
Is there a list somewhere or does someone have the info on what turbos were used in what cars. It looks like my 2001 9-5SE (3.0L V6) is in need of a turbo rebuild and I want to make sure I get the correct kit before taking it off.
Unfortunately, Lots of oil smoke after 160K miles.

Figured out the turbo model GT1549.
Next question, has anyone been able to pull the turbo cassette out of the exhaust manifold without taking the manifold off the head. I'm not looking forward to that part of the rebuild.

No need to dismantle the manifold, help can be found in the WIS (Worshop Info Sys) procedure go there for a download take around 4 hours be cautious to not let the exhaust fall more than X degrees if you didn't do right you have some later leaks on it.

Mine is the V6 and it looks like Saab and GM decided it would be cool to make the exhaust manifold the turbo housing and thus there is no separate turbo. That's why I ask, as it looks like it might be possible to get the turbo itself out of manifold leaving the manifold on the engine. That way one would only have to fight with the bolts holding the turbo into the manifold and not have get the nuts off the exhaust manifold to the head.
I'm wondering if anyone has gone this route?

Was able to get the turbo off the manifold while leaving the exhaust manifold in place. Not fun but better than taking the manifold off. the turbo rebuild was very straight forward from there.
Turbo bearing was very worn.
