    2006 Saab 9-5, 2004 Saab 9-5 Aero; 2002 9-3 HOT Hatch

    Replace turbo coolantlines without dropping turbos

    2004 Saab 9-5 Aero,

    Turbo coolant (inlet) line went yesterday. Can I replace the lines without dropping the turbo all slick like?
    Will be interesting if this fixes cold start issue (doubt it!).

    If you're patient, and have small hands. I'm pretty sure you can replace it without removing the turbo. It's been a while since I worked on that part of a SAAB.

    Several! An '86 900, a '96 900, an '05 9-5...
    Small tip: keeping the inner copper crush ring on the banjo bolts is very frustrating; apply some grease (some!) on the banjo to help hold the crush ring in place. Or, better yet, if you give time for it, use silicon to do the same job.... but give it overnight time to cure before you install the pipes.

    as i can remember my swap, better if you take out the turbo from his emplacement, or going from above and below.
