I occasionally have the same lights come on, but I don't lose the speedometer. Mine too go off if I shutdown and restart the car. Mine are very intermittent. I can go months before I see this happen again, but may have it occur several times in a week. I'm thinking mine may be a sensor rather than the unit. I have a 2007 9-5.

I had a similar intermittent on my 2006 9-3 and one time it even killed the speedometer which all recovered with restart until it finally broke complete and stayed broken long enough for me to locate a broken sensor wire at the sharpest bend flex point in my right rear wheel sensor. One wire was broken inside the insulation sleeve, the wire insulated coating looked good until it tore apart when I pulled on the wire.
