Hello all. I have a question. I have a 900s that has been sitting in my back yard for 4 years. I had intended to restore it, but my son went to college and there was no extra monies. It has 180,000 miles but at 109,000 I put a new engine in with 62,000 miles. I am the only owner. hatchback window is broken.
Should I just scrape it or try to sell it for parts?
Feel guilty for not taking care of it, a great car!!

two options for you ... trying to restore but with no money or take a week end to take out parts and engine and try to selling it ... you can having much money with separate parts to an old car.

Parting out a car, responding to all requests for parts and shipping the parts can take a lot of time. If it has been sitting for 4 years, it's time to let it go. You probably don't want to have it there for another year selling the occasional part once a week.

I suggest you sell the car whole, as is, rather than parting it out. That solves the issue of it being in your yard, and it gives someone else the option of restoring it. Don't send it to the crusher.
