01 9-3 - Onstar swap/USB
So here's one for you guys. Ive prowled the forums and come up short so far.
How difficult is it to remove the OnStar equipment? I'm consider the possibility so I can wire in a USB socket.
For that matter, how hard would accessing the power source be for wiring purposes? I may answer the latter part of that since Im digging through Haynes for some maintenence today.
Thanks guys.

As far as I am aware, the Onstar module is located in the trunk. The switch in the dash can easily be removed. Tinkering with the module itself however is probably a different matter.
