water pump spy hole

hello guys,2005 ,9-3 1.8t vector. when the water pump starts to leak is there a hole which it comes out of, I'm losing water slowly, had a quick look and just next to the drain valve at the water pump at one of the bolts is where the water seems to be coming from is this where they leak.

Not sure how the 1.8 and 2.3 engines compare but they are pretty similar. When the pump starts to leak, it's time for a new one. It could also be the o-rings or gasket but may as well replace the pump when you already have everything apart.

its the 2.0-litre turbo model but don't think it makes that much of a difference.I've been dreading this since I bought it 7months ago, I now need to locate the water pump tool in the UK and all the orings and gaskets

B207 and B2x5 are two completely different engines. With the B207 the water pump is driven by (and located behind) the balancing chain so inside the engine, whereas with the B2x5 engines the water pump is located externally and driven by the drive belt.
