Lower front grill removal on 2006 9-3 Aero convertible
I recently purchased a 2006 9-3 Aero convertible. Love the car but the previous owner had some difficulty avoiding curbs with the front air dam. As a result serval of the vertical rods behind the lower grill have been damaged. I am looking for advice about how to remove the lower grill. There are two fasteners holding it in place but I am not sure how the fasteners work. There seems to be a hex opening with a flat head slot below it. Don't want to damage if possible. Any advice appreciated.....

Took the front end off the car easily (3 screws in each wheel well, 3 screws underneath and 5 plugs on the top). Lowere air dam was in rough shape. Plastic welded the bumper, sanded and repainted. Also put threaded rods behind the vertical rods with washers and nuts at both ends. Expoxied the rods in place and all has come up well.
