Can my '04 9-3 take the battery from my outgoing car?

I have a very good and expensive battery in another car, a Mitsubishi. Aftermarket battery, photo of battery attached.

Can I use this battery in my 9-3?

    Thank you!

The CCA rating is ok. Next you have to check the physical size. The 9-3SS takes a Group 48 battery. That sizing is used less now and is equivalent to a H-6 size (new naming convention).

I have no idea what the size of the red battery is. Perhaps you can look online and see the length, width, and height of a Group 48 or H-6 battery and compare it with what is in the photo? My feeling is that the red battery is a little smaller. If the height is ok, then the battery can probably be secured to your Saab. Even better if the bottom has a lip that sticks out that can be secured with the two lip brackets at the bottom of the battery box.

Also note that the red battery has a sticker that says 11/13. That means that the battery is nearly 4 years old. Nowadays, some car batteries only last about 5 years so the red battery make conk out in early 2019 or maybe during the hot summer in 2019. 2 years isn't bad if the alternative is throwing out the battery (recycling it at a battery store or Walmart)

Unless the 9-3 battery is different from other Saabs the terminals are on the wrong side.
