How do I locate my trans type

I'm having issues when my transmission warms up, I believe it is slipping. How do I find what type of transmission I have so I can properly replace it?

owner's manual but before replace it do 3 times fluid change =92 % new and connect a OBD prof for knowing if you have codes.
a new box with work cost around 1000$ at less.
