2008 9-3 2.0 Cruise Control not engaging

Seems to be related to disconnecting the battery. The cruise indicator is showing on, but it won't engage. I checked various fuses....any suggestions?

On my 9-5, the cruise wouldn't engage when I had a short in the trunk wire harness.

could be the spring from the clutch pedal who's not returning to the right place do you believe your pedal is weak ? try to put the cruise and in the mean time slide up the pedal with your foot.

I can't help you more WIS doesn't have any detailed infos about,spending 20 min dig in it. could be the accelerator switch or the steering wheel switch.
