Plastic Part Dropped inside camshaft cover
Gentlemen,
While performing some work on my Saab 9-3 2008 Turbo X, I unplugged a hose from the front Camshaft cover and one of the little retaining clips from the connector broke and fell into the camshaft area. I have done my best to hunt this down but its impossible. I have tried a baroscope, shop vac, and I can't get this part out of there. Of course my worst case scenario is to remove the top from camshaft cover !!! Not really what I am looking forward to do since I will have to replace gaskets and takes me into an area of work I have not done before. Does anyone have any advice on this matter? Should I just leave that part inside? Could a little part like this cause any damage to the engine? The Part is about 1/16" x 1/16" x 1/32".
Any help will be appreciated.

If you can't find the offeneding clip, then I'm afraid it's going to be a, camcover off! Whilst it might not cause much damage to the metal parts, the resulting swaf could well block an oil gallery or passage somewhere, better safe than sorry!
