Acceleration issues

2003 Saab 9-3 2.0 Turbo Linear. Check engine light is steadily on. When I push the acceleration pedal down I get nothing (no acceleration). OBD2 code reader shows P0300, P0638 and P1523. Could really use some assistance with this. KC

P0300 - Random misfire detected
P0638 - Throttle mechanical, throttle position deviation from demanded
P1523 - Throttle mechanical, throttle default position fault

P0638 and P1523 indicate the engine is in limp home, explaining why not much happens when you push the accelerator down.

A TSB was issued for P0638: Saab_TSB_248-2423_P0638_P01682pdf.pdf

It sounds like the throttle body may be the problem. But I am not a 2.0T expert so hopefully someone else can offer some more info on this issue.

Sounds like bad, really bad to 300 code, electronic fueling throttle body, ecm, foot feed problem. Pop the cover off the top of the engine, pull the big air hose off the throttle body intake, have someone turn the key to on, watch the throttle plate for full movement and listen close for the sound of the electric motor that moves the plate if you don't see the darn thing move, turn the key off, pull small fuse #2 in the big engine compartment fuse box to reset the ECM and do this again.

If the throttle plate didn't move and it does now take a chance and take the car around the block and let us know what happened. If the throttle plate doesn't let ius know that too.

Got throttle body off. Was dirty and seized up. Went to a salvage yard and fond another one. Cleaned it up and seems to burning good. Thank you for the help.
