    Removing side skirt

Hi. Anybody know how to remove the pictured side skirt? Ive got a small rust problem that I need to fix but first I need to remove this in order to see how bad the damage actually is.

Here are the instructions from the WIS: saab_9-5_side_scuff_plate_removal.pdf

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

If Finland salts winter roads like we do in Minnesota, rust behind the sill panel molding can be pretty bad by the time you see it. This is structural to the car and you will probably need to bend and build your own repair panels. Good news is that they only need to be sturdy.

Remove bolts at either end wheel well, then give yourself some wiggle space and stick something about as thick as a pencil between fender lip and inner fender liner. the rest of the screws you need to remove (at least a half a dozen) are behind the rubber seal along the top edge.

They do salt the roads over here as well. The thing is, my car is repainted just a few years back and it "shouldnt" be that bad under there. What actually happened was that the plastic that covers the inner fender had come lose and two of the clips that hold it on have been chipping away at the paint. The rust is still superficial and im glad i caught it before it starts snowing.
