Intermediate Axle Shaft Bearing Bracket
Does anybody know how to remove this bracket on the driver side of the intermediate arm?
How do I seperate the pieces like this?

Perhaps heat up the bracket with a torch so it will expand?

When you don't have a press, heat and beat can get the job done, but it if you have a bad day can bust the casting. Better to ask at your local parts store if they can do the job or send you to someone who can.

there should be a circlip on both sides of the bearing. I assume that the bearing is pressed onto the shaft, but don't know for sure. I've been putting off this repair on my 2005 9-5 saab arc. keep us posted as how the shaft and bracket come apart. goldwing saab sells the shaft and bracket as one unit.
