Gathering four good rims... I have about ten but so far three were so far out of balance I doubt they can ever be salvaged.
Out of the ones I took to tire shop two made it to coating... steel shot blasted, etched and e-Coated gray... (that's the original rim color before actual color)

Just a quick update, the old tank old down tentioners were MIA on my car, I borrowed one from a fellow V4'er *in the picture with the red background. So I decided to make my own, out of 316 Stainless matching all the original bends. I made it slightly longer but will cut to length once I figure out an optimum length for easier starting of the wing nut.
Heres what I've got so far.

Starting to rebuild another FOMOCO carb, last rebuild didn't take, think the carb sat around way to long apart way before I got the car. Better prepared now and starting with a know good core I am on my way.
First thing was to try and locate a "Sealing Bellow" 88 33 063. If anyone know what this is they know you can not find it new.. did some research on-line about softening old rubber and tried a bunch of different things.
Well one finally worked !!! totally impressed.
Oh well... can't post vid it seems.

Not sure if anyone is following this or not but continuing to make progress, slow but steady.
Purchased a lightened flywheel and new ARP bolts, car came with a brand new NOS clutch but had gotten rusty from poor storage, glassed beaded and came out beautiful. New Clutch hose from Germany.
Also managed to find a Isky cam, ordered better springs but looking for a set of big valve heads.
finished removing traces of the dealer installed A/C..
Starting to do inner fender body work.. repainted three times so a lot of layers need to be removed.. last paint job wicked thick...
Heres a few pictures.
