By searching online, it would appear that thousands of Saab 93 owners have had this exact problem, but no one ever posts a solution. What happened to these cars, were they just scrapped? If a solution was found, why don't you tell everyone what it was? Looking at the join dates, and then posts, it is obvious that some people join just to find an answer to their problem, we all like to help, why don't you help others by taking a few minutes to tell us if you solved it, and how.

That's the reality with forums these days. Many moved to Facebook for quicker answers and instant gratification but there is no history of previous problems and solutions.

Had a nice talk by phone with these people a couple years back and I don't know exactly what they found but the next step was to pull the UEC and look for rodent damage.

It would have been nice of them to post a solution. I've been looking into problems like these for months and drawn some conclusions; in the case of computer modules, they just about never fail, the problem with hundreds we have tested is fretting corrosion, solved with MG chemicals 8463. The fuse boxes or UEC problems stem from the plating flaking of the contacts on the underside causing short circuit problems, and the missing plating causes increased resistance on the contacts. (Remove the fuse box carefully and you will see hundreds of bits of the plating, sparkling around the contacts, and little black dots at the contact points) I'd like to see any comments on this, or any other experiments anyone has tried to save some of these components before tossing them in the garbage.
Of all the things I have lost in my life, it's my mind I miss the most!
