2011 Saab 9-5 Vector SE Tyre Pressure

    Hello All

According to the information plate on the passengers door sill for my 2011 Saab 9-5 Vector SE the Type pressure for the front and rear tyre is 260 KPA which equates to 2.6 BAR or 37.7 PSI.
    This seems high.
Just wondering has anyone else used these pressures.
I feel the tyres are too hard.

    Regards

mine was at 2.4 front 2.2 rear (seems before they change to recommend same pressure front and rear ) anyway feel prefect for me with radial summer tires, for tires more saggy on the sides a little more could be required.

Your car isn't a NG 9-5 and on that 37/38psi is probably about right, I run 245/40 R19 tyres at 38psi
What size tyres do you have Denis?

OK, a tyre of the same diameter as mine would be 245/45R18 so about what I expected but I would still say that 2.6 Bar 260 KPa 38 psi is about right. It will feel less hard with your smaller wheels.

I run also same size summertires and I wouldn't go below that 2.6bar. I run with about 2,8 bar. They feel harder as the height of the tyres is smaller. If you go less I think the tires will wear uneven. I have even in winter studtires 225/55r17 2,6bar. They are quite soft see by eye even abit empty...
