2009 9-3 2.0T - lock button

My lock button doesn't work on the driver's side. the window buttons work. I am a new saab owner so I was wondering if there is a trick to it to fix it somehow or is the switch completely dead?

Does the drivers door lock work with the remote? Does the passenger side lock button work the locks? A little shot of contact cleaner can fix a dirty switch, if it's the switch.
