Just remove them all and the car will think you have winter tyres fitted and shouldn’t display a warning.

Yes the Tech 2 can turn off the TPMS, but from 2008 on all cars are required by Federal Law to have to have TMPS. A few years back you could get the TPMS temporarily disabled when mounting snow tires, but people abused this little loop hole to get it turned off permanently and it got closed. Now any shop that mounts wheels without TPM, or disables the TPMS on any car 2008 and newer can face the same punishment as fooling with the emissions system which is and/or up to 10 years $10,000.00 fine.

I think, or lt least heard, that US cars operate with a different protocol.

Mike, I did answer your question. Yes the Tech 2 can turn off the TPMS, TPMS service programming is a Tech 2 accessible function. You didn't ask the question how and if you had I wouldn't have answered. The official Saab part is pricy, the compatible Suzuki part is so reasonably priced that the part cost less than the labor to have the tire shop replace the battery.

For the Chinese sensors you might need a autel maxi tpms pad to program them available from AliExpress.

Getting one that's already GM ready is just a convenience and I" sorry not Suzuki -- Subaru -- is an affordable option. Any 433mhz schrader will work and as Geoff says you might need the program tool depending on which ones you got. For using the Tech 2 to program from the menu select chassis then select TPM and do what it tells you.
If you got 433's and already tried the reset https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AexbX-HIm50 and the Tech 2 doesn't get you going, you will need to get the tool for whatever sensor you got.
Replacing a sensor is a lot less work than replacing a battery, the case isn't made to be opened, but if you can do this yourself you can't beat the price.

Just to be clear. I own a 2004 9-3 Aero and as the owners manual states, "The messages are not shown if the sensors are missing from all four tires". Why would I need Tech 2 to turn off the system?
