    Spark plugs: Only use NGK
    Specifications: http://saabworld.net/showthread.php?t=27621
    Instructions: http://saabworld.net/showthread.php?t=25916

    Oil: Mobil 1 European Formula 0W-40 or Castrol Syntec 5W-40 / 0W-40

Oil filter: any decent filter from a good brand. AC Delco/Saab is often used. Wix is a good brand. http://amzn.to/2AXh84T

Local car part stores like Advance Auto or AutoZone often have specials for 5 quarts and an oil filter for around $30.
    Mobil 1 $30: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/o/motor-oil
    Castrol Syntec $27: https://www.autozone.com/landing/pag...change-special

Edit: above is mostly for the 2.3 4-cyl engine, not sure what your engine is.

Tonyn007, I see you are in Minnesota, maybe even the metro area and Wallmart almost always has the best price on Mobil One in the 5qt jug, so get two. The car takes more than 5qts to fill, cost more than up front to buy more than you need, but you come out ahead on your next oil change.

The 2.3 engine only takes 4 quarts and perhaps a little more, depending where you want the level on the dipstick.

4.2 quarts equals 4 liters. It is so marked on the Mobil I 5 quart jugs.makes everything very easy.

You MUST use fully synthetic oil or you risk sludge, even with the latest PCV kit.
