Part identification
Gents, and Ladies, please forgive me if you think this is teaching Granny to suck eggs but, the best way to provide the specification for a part for your Saab is by means of the Part Number.
If you have a copy of WIS and EPC you can easily get the part number from the EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue) and with the part number you can approach any number of web sites to locate the part you require. Even Amazon will return items against a part number. If all else fails you can even ask a dealer, yes there are still some about, to obtain an OEM part for you.
Many parts even have the part number on them making obtaining the correct replacement extremely easy.
If you don't have WIS and EPC follow this link http://saabworld.net/showthread.php?t=33310
This does require a Windows computer, which as a Mac user is a pain, but I got a Windows 10 tablet for under $100 and it does the job, as well as being a convenient size to have in the car when doing any work.
