BSR vs Maptun stage 1 tuning

I have a 2008 9-3 which every time I tune with the Maptun sage 1 tune will stall on a warm restart. Saab service center says the 9-3 is mechanically fine. Maptun says there must be an air leak somewhere. The original Saab engine software had the same problem but only worse. This was fixed with a Saab software program update in 2009. So, my 2008 9-3 does not stall with the updated Saab software which was made by BSR, but stalls on the warm restart after the Maptun stage 1 is installed.
After trying for 3 years to get the Maptun software to work and failing, I bought the BSR stage 1 software for my wife's 2009 9-3 XWD and it works just fine. 2009 9-3 had same warm restart problem which was fixed with the 2009 Saab software update.
Does anyone known what causes the warm restart problem and why the BRS stage 1 tuning works just fine and the Maptun stage 1 still has the warm restart problem? I am currently driving my 2008 9-3 with the 2009 updated Saab software and not the Maptun stage 1.

Sounds to me that the ECM software update to fix the warm stall issue is included in the BSR bin and not in the Maptun bin.

Just inform Maptun that you have issues with their tune, and that it seems that their tune is based on the 55566778 bin and not the more recent 55574380 bin which solves your warm stall problem.

According to Maptun they have updated to the latest software. Stall issue has been discussed with Maptun for over 3 years now. Currently I'm not driving my 2008 9-3 with the Maptun software installed. BSR stage 1 just seems to work on my wife's 9-3 XWD.

Wife's complaint about BSR stage 1 tune: 9-3 feels like it's on "steroids". For me I think that's a good thing. BSR updates are both Windows and Mac downloads.

Put Maptun stage 1 back on my 9-3 and tried a few more tricks. Still doesn't work, so I took it back off after about a week. I still have a few ideas including trying to drive it at a lower altitude and using a higher octane than 91 or 90 which is premium in Lubbock, TX. I suspect the problem is the density of the heated air and the oxygen content when the engine is hot. Maptun updates are only Windows downloads, which is inconvenient if one prefers Macs.
