Finally resulted to reaching out to you guys for some expert help as I'm stumped.
I'm having a nightmare hunting down the correct Coolant Temperature Sensor for my 86c. I'm not sure what it's called TBH, lives next to the nail-head type sensor, fatter, with a lead connected.. you'd think Sender but that brings no results... it talks to the ECU and is periodically causing my car to not start... For now I've just unplugged it which means I can start the car but obviously I don't want to leave it like this... There's millions out there for the MkII but none for the classics from what I can tell. The thread is thicker... Just to reiterate, I'm not referring to the gauge sensor with the nail-type head. (already replaced that, fits all 900s)
Some help would be much appreciated. I'm sure there must be a compatible part out there or possibly a thread adapter? Doing my head in.
EDIT - [In the Haynes Manual is called the - 'Cold Start valve thermo time switch'] (I think that's it - but still no joy hunting down one for a 900c)

Check eEuroparts. They have both sensors.

Hi Southsaab,
Thanks for the reply. I can only see the nail-head type CTS on there.
Any idea what the other one is called?

Check in the 16-valve section on eeuroparts. It's not in the 8v section.

Saw your edit about the Thermo time switch. Thesaabsite lists it. Kinda pricey, but check it out. It's in the fuel section for 900s.
