    Throttle Body cleaning?

I have a 2008 9-3 2.0T with 82,900 miles on it. The throttle body has never been cleaned to my knowledge. Is the throttle body cleaning straightforward or are there some special cautions or tricks? I have seen YouTube videos of the cleaning in non-Saabs and the the removal of the throttle body in a 2008 9-3. What are the suggestions for routine throttle body cleanings? I would be doing the cleaning without removing the throttle body. Thank you.

Could not get the hose off to the throttle body. I decided not to try to force it, since I was concerned about damaging the hose and getting it back on. There are literally no Saab parts in town. Everything is 2 day express mail.

take out the air intake pipe, spray the inside with special cleaner, let sit for 2 min brush the sidewalls of body with a toothbrush, you can extremely gently move the flap, clean it with paper or rags very gently. turn the key and start for 1-2 secs refit the intake pipe (check well if it's tight with a lift up)
    et VoilĂ  !!

I could not take out the air intake pipe by myself in my garage, so I paid to have it done. Had the fuel injectors cleaned at the same time. Thank you.

Hose hook, same took for freeing stubborn coolant hoses, wouldn't hurt to wouldn't hurt to have one handy at harbor freight price also available at any auto parts store.
