    Boost, pcv questions.

My06 9-5 has an crankshaft seal leak for about a year now. It leaks most during highway driving. I have replaced the complete PCV system. My saab is stock except, I have just removed the CBV due to heater hose replacement and today connected my boost bypass valve to the TB, bypassing the BCV. OK the ck valve on the line that goes to the cobra pipe from the pcv box passes air both ways the same. I have bought two and neither closes in one direction. Will order a couple of new lines tonight. I have a new boost bypass valve. Question, Does the boost bypass valve need vacuum to bypass or to boost? Am I correct that the boost gauge is demand not actual boost? The car runs great so any help would be great. Is there anything the turbo could cause my problem? 190k miles.

Yes.. it blows both ways, but i was told it only allows air to go 1 way if the pressure is quick and high (when the BPV opens and returns the boost back to the cobra). but never verified that.

Vacuum. That's when the throttle is closed and engine vacuum opens up the valve

Thanks for the reply. I think I have to much boost or pressure in my crank case at highway speeds.
