    Odd coolant leak.

Hi folks, as from this morning my 2005 9-5 has been using a full coolant tank of water every mile. The odd thing was that the engine bay was completely dry and no sign of water in the engine oil. With the engine off, no leaking at all, and I eventually, with the engine running, I detected the leak coming from a small rubber pipe, quarter of an inch in diameter that protrudes about half an inch from the bottom of the car directly beneath the driver's seat (right hand drive).

Can anyone tell me what this pipe does, should it simply have a plug in it perhaps as a way to easily drain the coolant, or is it more serious?

All help greatly appreciated, I've already spent two hours searching the web and have got nowhere.

    Thanks!

Thanks! I'll try and photograph the pipe tomorrow in daylight, plus it's about -10 degrees here right now!
