Power Steering Fluid Color?

I bought some Pentosin CHS 11S to top off the power steering fluid in my 2008 and 2009 9-3s. The Pentosin is a mint green color. The fluid in the power steering reservoir in a very light straw color. Does the fluid change color in the system? I also see 11S is listed for 2005 and earlier and CHS 202 is listed for 2006 and later. The owners manual lists both with 202 being slightly cheeper. The reservoir is also hard to fill to the suggested level since it's black and the Pentosin cans are metal. The power steering fluid dipstick is black and the light straw color was very hard to see. Any comments?

Wiping the dipstick dry as you can and then wrapping a piece of mashing tap around the stick above the fill line notch makes checking the level quick and easy. DO REMOVE THE TAPE WHEN DONE CHECKING.

Fluid color? Like every other fluid in the car, it will get darker as it picks up dirt and I have no idea why the Pentosin starts out green.

There is a post on a Mercedes site reporting that the Pentosin CHF 11S green color fades with time to a yellow. Also, Auto Autopsy lists the power steering pump seals leaking as one of the common 8 problems with Saab 9-3s. What is in my power steering reservoir is not motor oil, so I have concluded that the color has simply faded and that my problem was the broken reservoir cap leaking. The fluid is not dirty.
